Women with Work Friends Succeed

Covid may have killed water cooler conversations, as most of us now work remotely or parttime in the office. But don't let your workplace bonds die too. Research shows that having a BFF on the job ups your performance and overall happiness. Case in point: "women who strongly agree they have a best friend at work are more than twice as likely to be engaged (63%) compared with the women who say otherwise (29%)." Plus, one of these colleagues may become your future superior or even business partner. This week, reach out to a co-worker you miss and suggest some facetime or a social Zoom--or just a phone chat. Try not to talk about work.
