Sleep really, really matters--especially in middle age. A new study reveals that getting just 90 minutes less sleep than you do in your normal routine can make you angry, nervous, lonely, irritable and frustrated. (That's no way to conquer the day, girl.) Snooze-deprived people also experience respiratory issues and body aches. Are we seeing a pattern here? About a third of us sleep less than six hours a night, which is not enough rest. The problem with ongoing sleep deprivation is that your body adjusts to this cycle and can't fully recover from daily wear and tear on your mind and body. Poor sleep was recently linked to dementia too. Please prioritize your time in the bedroom.
