Take A Nap Already

Nap time is my new happy hour. I'm not alone either: nearly 22% of Americans took a siesta in 2021, according to the Better Sleep Council. Will that hybrid work trend carry over, as some of us head back to the office? It should, since napping has been proven to improve our mood and boost mental health. Scientists found that nappers also have better word recall. That's good to know since women in early midlife--around 45--start to experience memory issues as their hormones deplete. Trust me, you're not the only one saying, "What was I saying again? Oh, screw it." Experts agree that a 20 to 30 minute nap is restorative and shouldn't interfere with your nighttime sleep.
